I am John Watson, the Chief Editor, and Founder of Urbanhomecorner.com.
I have been passionate about home remodeling and home improvement projects since childhood, and the same passion inspired me to get into construction.
I have worked as a general contractor for 19 years now, and I have finally decided to voluntarily retire from that work and start this blog to share my experience.
I have moved to over 6 states, and over 30 cities since my childhood, and every new city I have moved to have taught me something new.
Whether it be painting, designing, or tilework and woodwork, I have experience in everything, and now I am here to share what I have learned over time with every one of you.

Hi, I am Jeniffer Smith, a homemaker, and organizer, and I grew up in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. I have been researching and fixing appliances and other things around the home and kitchen from a young age to help my single mother.
Every time something went wrong, I couldn’t rest until I fixed it. And ever since, I have enjoyed fixing things around my home, and I am always ready to help my friends and family with advice and hands-on help.
Since we were always looking for affordable ways of fixing things, we rarely hired experts and tried to fix most things ourselves. That interest brought me to write for this blog, as I realized my knowledge could help many people trying to fix things around their homes on their own without spending hundreds of dollars.
I have also picked up organization skills from my mother.

Hi! I am Arthur Smith, an electrical engineer who is extremely passionate about electronics. I have lived in different parts of the US and currently reside in Wisconsin.
I am one of those rare children who knew what he wanted to study and do in life right from the start. I was a curious child who wanted to know how switches work and how the AC works, and I would always observe my dad whenever he would handle the wires and fixed things around the house.
I currently work as an HVAC Expert at a reputed company and write for this blog. And I read loads of books or play video games in my free time.

I’m Suzanne Devis, an interior designer based out of Kent, Ohio. Along with designing home and office spaces, I also write for this blog.
I have designed multiple houses across the US and turned them into beautiful and cozy homes. I have also designed both elegant and quirky office spaces that people can look forward to coming to.
I have always been interested in writing, whether writing stories or journaling. Writing for this blog allows me to pursue my passion for writing and everything related to home and design. So, I said a big YES when this opportunity was offered to me.
